Population Research and Development Associates (PRDA), formed in 1995, is a consulting firm managed by a group of professionals. Since its inception, PRDA has carried out a number of important consultancies covering various development issues in Bangladesh for national and international organizations.
PRDA has given management training to senior and junior members of government and non-government organizations (NGOs) to enhance their capacity to communicate, manage time effectively, lead an organization very efficiently and become a successful leader. Special training is provided to women managers of government and no-government organizations. PRDA is the first organization who conducted sessions on harassment to senior managers under the ministry of health family welfare under HNPSP.
PRDA's research work focuses on studies related to baseline surveys, national surveys, health and population, evaluation studies, market surveys, performance audit of programme and finance, capacity building services, GIS survey and GIS mapping and adolescent family life education programme. Another area of PRDA focuses on logistics and administrative support to different organizations including event management.
PRDA has a core research team of six professionals with expertise in health and population programmes (research- qualitative and quantitative, management and intervention), capacity building of NGOs, supervision and monitoring, MIS, gender issues, social development, human resource development, strategic planning, entrepreneurship development and project management. PRDA has capacity of hiring short and long term specialists as per requirements of the studies.
